Tidying Up

We've shortened up our main index page today. It was inevitably. But it also has a few subtle advantages. And Saturdays were made for taking the subtle out of things.
Our RSS feed gives you either 1) a peek at each story we've published or 2) the whole thing (depending on how you set it up). And the main index repeats the peek for non-RSS visitors who just want to quickly see what we think is worth knowing about.
But we'd like to put more images on the index this month, so we spliced 2012 into its own index and did the same with January's stories so the main index is smaller. Not a big savings in bandwidth (for either of us) but a way forward.
You get to these new indices from the bottom of the main index. Naturally.
The way back to the supplemental index from any old story is with your browser's Back command. Once we're convinced this is permanent, we can add a Back button to our stories to make it a bit easier.
