Reviews of photography products that enhance the enjoyment of taking pictures. Published frequently but irregularly.

In this recurring column, we'll highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters).
- The Spring issue of the Threepenny Review includes 13 black-and-white images from the estate of photographer Garry Winogrand. SFMOMA will host the first retrospective of Winogrand's work in 25 years this spring, including over 300 photos, a hundred of which have never been printed before.
- And if you need another reason to put San Francisco in your plans, how about our new star: the Bay Bridge. Leo Villareal's Bay Lights Art Project uses 25,000 LED lights to display form abstract patterns on the north-side cables of the 1.8-mile span. See video and photos of last night's debut.
- Boinx Software has updated its free You Gotta See This! iOS collage app (now supported with Apple iAds) to support the iPhone 5 -- but it also uses "new algorithms to improve image capturing, with updated parameters for all supported devices' cameras, resulting in more beautiful collages."
- Think Tank Photo has just released a lot of new gear (like the Sub Urban and Change Up) and will toss in a free eye-piece with any Hydrophobias rain cover you buy before March 31. You've heard of April showers, maybe?
More to come...
