Free Lynda.com Course on B&W in Lightroom, Photoshop Tweet This   Forward This

13 June 2013

Photoshop Senior Product Manager Bryan O'Neil Hughes shares his tips and techniques for converting color captures into black and white images in a 42-minute Lynda.com course. Access to the course is free until June 21.

Black and White with Lightroom and Photoshop begins with a 2:14 Introduction before launching into Black-and-White Considerations (8:51), Black-and-White First Steps in Lightroom (15:3) and Black and White in Photoshop (9:53). That's followed by Beyond (4:34) in which he discusses Silver Efex, converting color video and creating frames for black and white images. Finally, the Conclusion (0:36) suggests a few "next steps."

Add that to yesterday's item about Epson's free black and white video series and George Jardine's free video on using Lightroom to convert color to black and white.

And summer will never look the same again.
