Flying Meat has updated Acorn [M] to version 4.1, adding a number of new features to the company's $49.99 image editing software. Among the highlights are CMYK exports, vertical/horizontal canvas flips, a background blur filter, a mirror filter and more.

The complete list of changes is documented in the release notes.

Acorn's author Gus Mueller was recently interviewed by Debug about "his username, his company name, VoodooPad and Acorn, and what he thought about Apple's Mac offerings at WWDC 2013."
