Deals: Creative Cloud Photography Bundle For $9.99/Month Tweet This   Forward This

4 September 2013

At Photoshop World today Adobe announced a Photoshop Photography Program that "includes access to Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5, plus feature updates and upgrades as they are available; 20GB of cloud storage for file sharing and collaboration; and Behance ProSite for your own fully customizable professional portfolio." And the price, Hilda? Just $9.99 a month, about half the single application price.

Bridge CC is included as part of the Creative Cloud membership deal, Adobe notes on its Program FAQ.

To qualify for the offer, you must have a Photoshop CS3 or later license. Lightroom licenses are not applicable. Transitioning depends on the type of current Creative Cloud subscription you have. Adobe explains:

  • Photoshop CC single-app members will be automatically transitioned to this new program, with its additional benefits and lower ongoing price.
  • Creative Cloud complete members should contact Adobe Customer Service to discuss transitioning to this new offer.

Adobe also addressed fears about the longevity of the pricing structure:

Customers who sign up by December 31, 2013 will be able to continue their membership. This price is not a special introductory price for your first year only; it is the standard price for this level of membership. But if you cancel your membership in the future, you will not be able to re-join at this special price.

Julieanne Kost demonstrated the ease of updating her portfolio on the Behance site during the keynote at Photoshop World.

Former Photoshop Product Manager John Nack observed on his blog:

I know that this change won't address every concern, but I'm happy that the offer makes it much easier for photographers who want just two Adobe apps to get the benefits of Photoshop CC & the Creative Cloud. As time goes by the cloud component will grow more & more valuable, and I'm excited that more people will be able to get new capabilities the moment they're available.

Adobe has posted more information on the program on its Web site.
