In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at a PocketWizard rebate, relinking missing Lightroom files, Kelby's Worldwide Photo Walk and Sight Control.
- MAC Group has announced a PocketWizard fall rebate of $25 for U.S. purchasers of one or more MiniTT1 and/or FlexTT5 radios for Canon or Nikon dSLRs. Purchasers of PlusX and/or Plus III radios are eligible for a $15 mail-in rebate for each radio they purchase.
- Julieanne Kost explains Re-linking Files and Folders in Lightroom, a task that we've found a bit more obscure than it might be.
- Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photo Walk, which we've enjoyed attending in the past, will be held this Saturday. You can find a walk in a place near you but Kelby himself will be in Rome. All roads, we understand, lead there anyway, though.
- The $4.99 Sight Control from Mactaris, which supports Manual, Shutter Priority and Aperture Priority on the iSight camera adds support for the FaceTime HD Camera on MacBook Air 2013, a new generation of the built-in webcam that supports Exposure time, brightness, contract, hue, saturation and sharpness controls and one new noise reduction control.
