Camera Bits, celebrating Photo Mechanic's 15th anniversary, has come up with an unusual idea to express its gratitude to "the nonprofit organizations who help make our industry stronger with their dedication and hard work." The company will donate 15 Photo Mechanic licenses to the winner of an online poll where you can vote for your preferred nonprofit through Dec. 15.

"We hope this contest will raise awareness for their causes as well as give one lucky winner over $2,200 worth of our lightning-fast software," said CEO and President Dennis Walker.

The nonprofits selected for this year's contest include HeART Speak, Photo Philanthropy, Light Work, Josephine Herrick Project, Shoot Off Workshops, NPPA Foundation, Wish Upon a Wedding, Vision Workshops, Operation Love REunited (OpLove), Facing Change, Young Photographers Alliance, WPOW: Women Photojournalists of Washington, Photography for a Change, The Chris Hondros Fund and the International League of Conservation Photographers.

Photo Mechanic 5, which runs on Mac OS X 10.6 and later, is a favorite browser and metadata editor among press photographers, appreciated for its speed and efficiency.
