In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the Fine Art Photography business, balanced camera design, camera menu systems and Lightroom image sizes.
- At Luminous Landscape, Alain Briot discusses The Fine Art Photography Business.
- In The Question of Balance Thom Hogan argues the dSLR is not dying, it's mature, compared to the mirrorless breed that are, well, merely different -- but not necessarily as balanced as a dSLR.
- In Sony A7R: the Kitchen Sink Menu System Design Paradigm is Alive and Well Lloyd Chambers and his readers take on the Sony menu system. Chambers notes "most control functions can be mapped to buttons or dials, so that once configured the camera is efficiently usable."
- Julieanne Kost's Largest Size Photo Supported by Lightroom 5 reveals Lightroom 1 could import images as large as 10,000 x 10,000 pixels while Lightroom 2 to 5 support photos "up to 65,000 pixels long or wide or up to 512 megapixels, whichever is smaller."
