More details, particularly regarding bug fixes, are in the news release below.

Iridient Digital Releases Iridient Developer 2.3.4 For Mac OS X

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. -- Iridient Digital, Inc. has released Iridient Developer 2.3.4, an update to our critically acclaimed Raw conversion and image processing software for Mac OS X.

The Iridient Developer 2.3.4 update can now be downloaded here: http://www.iridientdigital.com/products/rawdeveloper_download.html

This update includes a complete overhaul of the image caching architecture and gives greatly improved loading performance when accessing previously viewed images, especially for Raw and particularly for processor intensive Raw images from the Fujifilm X-Trans and Sigma Foveon sensors.

A couple new features add an option for using the original image folder as the default save to location instead of the last used folder and support for custom Raw cropping when using the Iridient demosaic engine which may provide access to additional pixels beyond the camera's specified image size.

This release fixes a potential crashing issue with Olympus E-M1 and E-M10 cameras when set to the 16:9 aspect ratio. Several improvements and fixes have been made to IPTC/XMP metadata handling including more lenient parsing of XMP metadata blocks for DNG images which allows pass through of XMP metadata from some files that may not strictly follow the TIFF/Exif metadata specifications such as from the Leica M (Typ 240). An issue with the use of some DNG camera profiles which could result in 2 rows of bad pixels at the top of the image has also been fixed.

This update also should resolve issues with some keyboard shortcuts not working when the image window loses focus to adjusment controls in the Settings window. Keyboard commands for image navigation (left/right arrows) and image preview scrolling (home, end, page up/down) should now all continue to work regardless of which window has the actual keyboard focus.

New Raw camera support includes:

  • Nikon: D4S, D3300 and P340
  • Sony: ILCE-6000, ILCE-5000 and ILCE-3500
  • Fujifilm: FinePix S1
  • Samsung: NX30
  • Nokia: Lumia 1520
  • DJI: Phantom Vision FC200

The complete list of over 550 supported Raw cameras can be viewed here: http://www.iridientdigital.com/products/rawdeveloper_cameras.html.
