In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at an Alaskan expedition sweepstakes, an online magazine specializing in camera bags, when Lightroom trials reset and AdoramaPix's new photo finishing facility.

  • Datacolor has announced its Great Alaskan Photo Expedition Sweepstakes closing May 27 to award an all-expense-paid trip to Cook Inlet, Alaska to spend one week photographing the region’s most remarkable wildlife with nature photographer David Cardinal.
  • Bag Exposure is "a new online magazine for photographers and camera bag lovers on the never-ending chase for the ever-elusive perfect camera bag."
  • Matt Kloskowski notes that "Lightroom resets the trial version for every dot release." So you get another 30 days every time Lightroom gets a minor update.
  • AdoramaPix has begun production in its new Brooklyn-based Park Slope photo finishing facility. Measuring over 20,000 square feet with 70 more employees, the move will cut production turn-around time in half.

More to come...
