In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Creative Cloud 2014, a hands-on view of the Lytro Illum Camera, the 'Here, Look' app and Think Tank Photo's summer promotion.

  • Just a reminder that Adobe is revealing Creative Cloud 2014 this morning at 10 a.m. Pacific (1:00 p.m. Eastern) in a live keynote. "Everything new is new again," the company promises. We'll publish details on the release here later this morning.
  • TechCrunch has produced a hands-on Lytro Illum Camera piece featuring Lytro Founder Ren Ng. You'll also learn how to pronounce the camera's name:
  • Here, Look is an iOS app that lets you select which photos someone can see when you hand them your iPhone. All you do is open an album of photos, select a few and then hand over your iPhone.
  • During Think Tank Photo's summer promotion, you can test drive the expandable Shape Shifter backpack for two weeks at no charge when you phone 866-558-4465 ext. 1 and use the code AP-781. Offer ends June 30.

More to come...
