Each model works easily with the PIXMA Printing Solutions application and the new mobile-friendly Canon Easy-PhotoPrint+ Web application, which provide easy solutions for cloud-connected printing as well as for the editing and personalization of treasured photos.
A convenient feature included with these models, PPS provides direct access to the cloud from compatible printers, mobile devices and tablets. Users can easily print and scan images and documents from several of the most popular online social platforms and services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Photobucket, Dropbox, Evernote, Creative Park and Creative Park Premium along with the newly supported Google DriveTM and Microsoft OneDrive. With PPS, users can also check ink model number information, online printer user manuals and other important printer information.
Enhancing the cloud capabilities of the new printer lineup is Easy-PhotoPrint+. With Easy-PhotoPrint, accessible on mobile devices and computers (PC and Mac), projects can be started and saved on one device and completed on another device at a later time.
Helping the end user increase their productivity through wireless capabilities, other key functions of the new printers include the updated PIXMA Cloud Link, for sharing scanned documents and photos easily by scanning data directly to email or attaching scanned data to a draft email in their webmail account. Additionally, PictBridge (Wireless LAN) functionality allows select Canon digital cameras to connect directly to the printer -- eliminating the need of a computer. With Access Point Mode, users can also connect their compatible mobile device to their PIXMA printers directly through WiFi without needing to be connected to a router.
