Adobe has released Photoshop Mix 1.1, the free iOS app's first upgrade. The point release "satisfies the majority of feedback we've heard from in-app feedback, research and reviews," Adobe's Bryan O'Neil Hughes wrote in a blog post announcing the update. "Of course, the Mix team couldn't help but sprinkle in a few things above and beyond."

Highlights of the new release include:

  • Image Swap to change the order of layers in a Mix project by dragging and dropping thumbnails. No need to start over if you confused foreground and background images.
  • Redesigned undo and redo. In Mix 1.0, you committed or canceled by task but you can now apply multiple undos or redos within a task.
  • Full round-trip editing between Photoshop Express and Photoshop Mix
  • Ability to save full resolution files to your local camera roll
  • Support for large panoramic files, as well as PNG file formats
  • Improved performance for loading a project and live previews
  • Open files stored on Dropbox in addition to v1.0's Creative Cloud, Lightroom mobile and Facebook options
  • Language support added for Italian, Spanish, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Traditional Chinese. Bravo.
