Now that we've suppressed one of the ruder bots on the Web, we thought we'd devote a few milliseconds to expanding our audience. With that in mind, we applied to Guy Kawasaki's Alltop last night and were immediately accepted to the Photography topic.

We're down at the bottom, holding everyone else up.

"Think of Alltop as a magazine rack for your favorite topics," the company's About video suggests. It's a little more than that, though, because it also displays the first paragraph of any story you hover over, so you get the latest from each site as well as a short preview.

If that sounds familiar, it should. Alltop merely reads a site's RSS feed. But the advantage is that on one page devoted to Photography, say, you can get a glimpse of what's going on in that subject on a lot of sites.

We look through all that (and more) for you each day because, well, it's daunting. There's a lot on that Photography page. At the top, the most recent posts are displayed, but only a few of them. Our Horn articles sifts through much of what you see to highlight what you don't want to miss.

Now that we're in the phone book, so to speak, we hope we pick up a few more readers. Meanwhile, please spread the word.

We need all the friends we can get.
