DNP Launches 'Trade-in & Trade-Up' Program Share This on LinkedIn   Share This on Google   Tweet This   Forward This

10 October 2014

DNP Imagingcomm America, which acquired Sony's commercial photo printing division in 2011, has announced a "Trade-In & Trade-Up" program for owners of the Sony UPDR200.

With a trade-in of the Sony printer when purchasing DNP's DS40 dye-sub printer, DNP will supply two cases of 4x6 4x6PM (perforated media), 5x7 or 6x8 DS40 printer media, a retail value of up to $376. The Sony must be shipped to DNP in North Carolina, however. The offer expires Nov. 26.

Regarding the paper options DNS told us, "The perforated paper is for event photographers who want to use the small perforated section for a coupon, advertisement for their services or even a de facto business card with their contact information."

The 6x8 rolls easily handle 4x6 prints as well, and in fact are what we've been using to the test the DS40 here for several months now. Print quality has been outstanding, as has the performance of the $995 industrial strength printer. Our full review should be available later this month.

DNP Introduces 'Trade-in & Trade-Up' Promotion For Free Printer Media With Qualifying Purchases

CONCORD, N.C. -- Underscoring its commitment to providing legacy customers with continued product service and support, DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. today announced the official start of its "Trade-In & Trade-Up" promotion. Under the promotion's terms, qualifying purchases of a DS40 dye-sublimation printer with trade-in of a Sony UPDR200 are eligible to receive two cases of 4x6 4x6PM (perforated media), 5x7 or 6x8 DS40 printer media. The offer, which holds a retail value of up to $376, expires Nov. 26.

"Since acquiring Sony's commercial photo printing division in 2011, we have been committed to providing the industry with solutions that increase bottom-line returns," said Kazuhiro Kawabata, President, DNP Imagingcomm America. "Trade-in & Trade-up is another example of our commitment to offering our current and potential customers with not only innovative solutions, but greater value at no additional cost."

To qualify, customers must ship their Sony UPDR200 to DNP's U.S. headquarters in Concord, N.C., along with a completed claim form and proof-of-purchase for the DS40 from an authorized reseller, by Jan. 2, 2015.

As DNP's flagship dye-sublimation printer, the DS40 is a compact yet powerful photo printer that can produce full-bleed 4x6 5x7 and 6x8 images in stunning glossy or matte finishes. Not only is the DS40 versatile, but also 4x6 images are printed in less than nine seconds. The printer also produces each print with a special protective coating to ensure resistance to common elements such as dust, water, fingerprints and fading.

All purchases must be made through a DNP authorized reseller in the United States or Canada. For more information about DNP's authorized resale partners, please visit: http://www.dnpphoto.com/Support/WhereToBuyDNPPhotoProducts.aspx
