Wedding & Portrait Photographers International has announced its lineup of special events at its annual conference and expo in Las Vegas (Feb. 26 to March 5) including the keynote presentation by world-renowned photographer and educator Joe McNally.

McNally's career has spanned over 30 years with assignments in more than 50 countries, including shoots for TIME, Newsweek, Fortune and The New York Times Sunday Magazine.

Attendees will also have access to over 200 educational seminars, 50 Photo Walks and other special events. This year's roster of Special Events has combined interactive education with entertainment to extend the learning experience into each evening of the conference, organizers said.

Full Platform Passes Give Full Access to Educational Seminars, Keynote Presentation and All Special Events at Largest Wedding and Portrait Photography and Filmmaking Conference in North America

NEW YORK -- Wedding & Portrait Photographers International has announced its lineup of special events at its annual conference and expo in Las Vegas (Feb. 26 to March 5) including the keynote presentation by world-renowned photographer and educator Joe McNally. In addition to Joe McNally's keynote, attendees will have access to more than 200 educational seminars, 50 Photo Walks and numerous special events for an overall experience that will challenge their creativity by day and offer extensive networking opportunities by night. This year's roster of Special Events has combined interactive education with entertainment to extend the learning experience into each evening of the conference.

"The learning process at WPPI takes many forms, which is what makes our conference so special_
we're constantly finding ways to make this week fun, exciting and fresh," explains Jason Group, WPPI Director of Education and Membership. "Whether it's the extensive number of seminars and Photo Walks, the Live Judging of our annual print and film competition or evening events that encourage a real connection between peers and their mentors, attendees will have opportunities for learning at every turn."

WPPI 2015 Special Events

The Annual 16x20 Print, Album and Filmmaking Competition Judging
Feb. 28 to March 1 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Open to all Full Platform Pass holders, the live judging of The Annual 16x20 Print, Album and Filmmaking Competition is a wonderful opportunity for attendees to learn what components of imagery, composition and lighting are given precedence over others in competitions, as well as what techniques and skills they can improve upon themselves. Each submission to this competition is given its limelight and receives constructive feedback from a panel of prestigious judges giving attendees deeper insights into industry trends and their peers' techniques.

The University: Business Institute
Saturday, Feb. 28 (9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

This year's University is focused on teaching photographers how to expand their businesses, marketing their services and maximizing their profits even when working with limited resources. Sponsored by WHCC, ShootProof and Millers, this full day event be hosted by Sarah Petty and will feature speakers including Phillip Blume, Joy Vertz and Rachel Brenke.

Almost Famous
Saturday, Feb. 28 (Start Time to be announced)

The fun begins Saturday evening, when attendees display their hidden talents during the Almost Famous talent show hosted by Jerry Ghionis. If you've had dreams of becoming a standup comic, professional musician, singer or even the next David Copperfield, Almost Famous is your chance to take the stage

in Vegas! Showcase your (other) talents in a room of your peers before dancing the night away to live music provided by Triple Scoop Music.

Launch Pad
Sunday, March 1 (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.)

This is the chance for attendees to get a sneak peak the latest in imaging technology and accessories before they hit the Expo floor Monday morning. Launch Pad includes numerous exhibitors eager to share their latest products and have one-on-one conversations with attendees. For those who have a schedule filled with seminars and Photo Walks, Launch Pad is a great way to experiment with all the new tech and gear on the market before classes begin. Attendees will be able to compare and contrast their own equipment with newer models throughout their week of classes, giving them better insights into what features and models best suit their needs.

WPPI Official Opening Night Party
Sunday, March 1 (8:00 to 10:00 p.m.)
