Nikon Introduces Rugged Coolpix AW130, Friendly Coolpix S33

Nikon introduced two durable compacts, the AW130 and S33. Both are waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof. And they capture Full HD video. The AW130 adds GPS, WiFi and NFC while the S33 keeps things simple.

COOLPIX AW130
With its 16-megapixel CMOS sensor, the Coolpix AW130 is waterproof to 100 feet, shockproof to seven feet and freezeproof to 14-degress F. With built-in WiFi and NFC, you can share photos and videos wirelessly by connecting the camera to a compatible smartphone or tablet. And you can use your smartphone to remotely trigger the camera when connected.
The AW130 also features a 3.0-inch, 921k-dot OLED display. Action Control lets you adjust camera settings with just the flick of a wrist, particularly helpful with gloves on.
Built-in GPS, Maps and POI technology can record the longitude and latitude of any image capture. And an electronic compass keeps you on track. Additional features include a 5x optical zoom Nikkor ED glass lens (24mm-120mm f2.8 max aperture) and 10x Dynamic Fine Zoom* helps to get closer to the action.
The AW130 will be available in yellow, blue or black in March for $349.95. You can preorder it now from Adorama or B&H.
COOLPIX S33
The Coolpix S33 is waterproof to 33 feet, shockproof to five feer and freezeproof to 14-degrees F. It features an easy-to-use interface and dedicated one-touch buttons for simplified shooting.rwater Face Detection and an option to shoot videos with miniature effect.
The 13.2-Mp CMOS sensor and versatile 3x zoom capture still and, using a dedicated movie record button, 1080p Full HD video. The S33 adds 16 creative styles and effects options as well.
The S33 will be available in white or blue in March for $149.95. You can preorder it now from Adorama or B&H.
