Affinity Software sent an email to beta testers of its Affinity Photo beta today announcing "hundreds of stability, performance and feature improvements," including a new Color Balance adjustment, ability to generate masks and selections from layers, improved channels support and new Affine and Deinterlace filters.

Complete details of the new release are available in the Affinity Photo Beta section on the company's forums. The new beta release, which requires OS X 10.7.5 or later and a 64-bit processor, is also available for download now.

Affinity Photo Beta Update

Hi [Name],

I just wanted to write to you to thank you so much for getting involved with the Affinity Photo beta. It's now been more than six weeks since we launched and we have already made hundreds of stability, performance and feature improvements -- all of which are based on the fantastic feedback we are receiving from people like you.

The latest beta build has just gone live -- this includes a new Colour Balance adjustment, ability to generate masks and selections from layers, improved channels support and new Affine and Deinterlace filters.
