Canon has announced a redesigned 50mm "Nifty Fifty" prime lens featuring the company's proprietary stepping motor technology for quiet focusing. And the price isn't very loud either at just $125.99.

The new lens also features a seven blade circular aperture, improved from its predecessor's five blade non-circular aperture, to deliver "a more visually appealing blurring effect and producing sharp images of subjects that truly stand out against beautiful, soft backgrounds," the company said.
