Adobe evangelist Terry White demonstrates a new Dehaze filter in Lightroom CC's Develop module which, he said, is "coming soon" to the image editing application.

When set to a positive value, the single slider reduces atmospheric haze from landscapes, increasing sharpness and contrast. Set to a negative value it can introduce haze to an image, reducing sharpness and contrast.

The company previously provided a sneak peek of a Dehaze filter in Photoshop at Adobe MAX last year:

DxO Optics Pro 10 already includes a dehaze filter called DxO ClearView to remove the effects of haze or fog from an image. Its slider, featuring only positive values, nicely enhances the sharpness and contrast of the image.
