DNP Drops DS80 Printer Price

DNP has announced a price reduction for its DS80 8-x12-inch dye sublimation printer. Effective immediately, the DS80 will be available from authorized resellers in the United States for $1,495.
"Larger format prints are generally less cost-efficient than those in smaller sizes," said Katsuyuki Oshima, president of DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. "At this new price, the DS80 represents a low investment, high-return opportunity for photographers and retailers to offer larger format 8x10 and 8x12 prints."

CONCORD, N.C. -- Underscoring its commitment to providing cost-effective solutions for the professional photography and photo retail markets, DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. has announced a price reduction of its DS80 large-format photo printer and media. Effective June 1, the DS80 will be available from authorized resellers in the United States at MSRP $1,495.

Ideal for studio settings, on-site printing or photo retail solutions, the DS80 is widely deployed by professional photographers around the world to produce high-quality images in beautiful full-color detail. The DS80 produces full-bleed 8x10 and 8x12 photos in a protective lamination layer that is resistant to fingerprints, dust, water and fading.
Due to a simple dye-sublimation transfer method and roll-fed design, the printer easily allows for extended continuous use with minimal downtime. The roll design also allows the printer to store a large volume of media for printing -- the DS80 can produce 130 8x10 photos and 110 8x12 photos before new media rolls are required.
At only 12.6-inches wide by 14-inches deep by 6.6-inches high, the small footprint of the DS80 allows for the unit to be easily shipped or transported to any event and saves valuable workspace when utilized in photo lab applications. Additionally, the DS80 is built to the same dimensions as DNP's award-winning DS40 printer for easy stacking to save space and provide additional print size options at high-volume printing locations.
