In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the Magnum Square Print Sale, Lightroom's virtual copies, the Phase One XF Story and the Sirui T-2205X tripod.
- Magnum asked its members to "a single image that they felt represented a turning point in their lives as image makers." The result is The Magnum Square Print Sale, which runs through June 12. In Magnum Chooses the Decisive, and Transforming, Photo Rena Silverman interviews a few of the photographers about their choice.
- In Taking Advantage of Virtual Copies in Lightroom CC, Julieanne Kost shows how to use virtual copies to give different looks to an image:
- Doug Peterson tells The Phase One XF Story -- Past, Present & Future, praising the company's investment in research and development, including Capture One development, as well as its alliance with Schneider Kreuznach.
- In Best Tripod for Travel, Terry White explains why he retired his carbon fiber Gitzo for the $309 Sirui T-2205X with a Kirk ballhead. It's "pro level, folds down very compactly and can hold heavy gear."
