In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the Google+ Photos closure, new 9/11 photos, stunning photos of the week and Johnston's move to New York.

  • In New Photos Show Bush Administration Reaction to 9/11 Attacks, Frontline shows images released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by Colette Neirouz Hanna, coordinating producer for the Kirk Documentary Group, which covered the Bush administration in many films for Frontline.
  • That Atlantic's Photo page published 35 stunning Photos of the Week: 7/18-7/24.Hard to pick a favorite but the last one has stayed with us.
  • Mike Johnston has closed up shop in Waukesha, Wisc. for greener grass on the shores of Lake Keuka in New York. Consequently The Online Photographer will be offline until sometime in August. And we'll miss him.

More to come...
