2 September 2015

While wrapping up its Everyday Messenger bag Kickstarter campaign, Peak Design announced several other new products for an autumn release. New products include camera straps, lens holders and protective cases.

Here's the list:

  • Shell is an ultralight rain and dust cover for your camera that can be used with Capture or as a standalone product. The form-fitting stretch-woven "shell" is seam-taped, waterproof and protects against the elements while shooting on a tripod, mounted to Capture or slung on a camera body-strap. It's also a great minimalist "camera case" while traveling or hiking. Shell can be ordered in three different sizes and will be available this month for $50.
  • CaptureLens & LensKit is an adapter for Capture that lets you change lenses rapidly, with just one hand and holds your idle lens rigidly and securely. You can carry up to two lenses on any backpack strap, belt or bag. Includes one Lens Kit adapter for Canon EF, Nikon F or Sony E/FE mounts. Available for pre-order now on the Peak Design site.
  • Slide Summit is a redesign of Peak Design's popular Slide Camera Strap which we reviewed in May, launched on Kickstarter last fall where it raised $860,000. The new Summit, which ups the ante with style points and crowd-sourced color combinations, will be available this month for $65.
  • SlideLITE contains all the features of Slide, Peak Design's versatile camera strap, but in a slimmed-down 1.25 inch wide strap, ideal for carrying smaller, mirrorless cameras. Like its big brother, Anchor Link connectors let you wear SlideLITE as a sling, neck or shoulder strap while aluminum quick-adjusters let you change strap length on the fly. Available this month for $45.
