In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Thein on Milvus, long exposure, pregnancy portraits and Apple candids with a Leica Q.
- In A visit to Zeiss and thoughts on the Milvus line, Ming Thein elaborates on "the argument for a lens system as opposed to a camera system" in which "you have one set of lenses that works on everything, and simply pick the best body for the job."
- Sharon Tenenbaum is Loving Long Exposure and shares some techniques, including mixing in a conventional shot.
- In If You're Expecting In Brazil, You Need A Pregnancy Photographer, Lourdes Garcia-Navarro reports on the booming pregnancy portrait business. The parks in Rio de Janeiro are the post popular places, partly for their security.
- Om Malik hung around the VIP area at last week's Apple event with his Leica Q and caught some candids of Phil, Jony & Angela.
