Adobe has shipped its latest Creative Cloud desktop updates and announced new developments across its portfolio of creative tools and technologies. Those include:

  • Flash Professional CC has been renamed as Adobe Animate CC "to more accurately reflect the content-formats produced by this tool," the company said.
  • Adobe has announced Edge Reflow (preview), Edge Inspect and Edge Animate are no longer being actively developed, instead integrating these "lightweight apps" into its "industry-leading creative tools" like Dreamweaver and Muse.
  • The company announced it is working on a new HTML5 video player for desktop browsers.

PHOTOSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

Highlights of the update to Photoshop CC include:

  • A new Design Space (Preview) "based on deep customer research and built for designers by designers to make many tasks faster and with less clicks."
  • You can now better customize Artboards.
  • You can finally customize your Photoshop CC toolbar.
  • A new modern (touch-enabled) user interface that delivers "a clean and consistent look" and improvements in Creative Cloud Libraries.
