In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at NORAD's Santa Tracker, over the top Christmas decorations, the DJO Osmo gimbal and the Ceneo Matchbox LED.
- The business of the day is being conducted by NORAD again with its Santa Tracker service, which we wrote about at length last year. And in Vintage Footage Reveals How NORAD Tracks Santa, Audrey Amidon takes a look at a 1974 clip showing NORAD at work. While you're waiting, you can see how your chimney looks to Rudolf at Pusher.
- In Christmas in America: Over the Top, Close to the Heart, James Estrin collects 20 of the stranger Christmas tableaus on display this year.
- Ryan Hill recommends renting the DJI Osmo Handheld Gimbal over the Nebula 4000 and the Feiyu G4 for stabilizing your iPhone video.
- Lloyd Chambers has nice things to say about the $462 Cineo Matchbox compact LED with 3200K, 4300K and 5600K inserts. CRI ratings are 98 at 3200K and 94 at 5600K with TLCI ratings of 99 at 3200K and 97 at 5600K.
