Sigma has announced two new Global Vision Lens bundles that match two of its 150-600mm zooms with its 1.4x teleconverter for a reach of 840mm. The bundles will be available in Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts this April, the company said.

"These bundles are ideal for photographers, both professional and enthusiast, who continually seek out longer ranges and want more options for their shooting style," said Mark Amir-Hamzeh, president of Sigma Corp. of America. "Sigma's high-performance telephoto offerings cover the range of photographic scenarios from professional sports to nature and more. Combined with the Sigma 1.4x Teleconverter, customers have even more options with the same great performance they have come to expect from Sigma."

HARDWARE

The two 50-600mm zooms both feature advanced two-mode optical stabilization, enhanced autofocus algorithm, sophisticated Hyper Sonic Motor for quiet and fast focusing, along with zoom locking at all marked focal lengths and performance. Additional features include:

  • The Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 Sports Lens designed for fast action-capture performance is dust- and splash-proof with a 105mm filter size.
  • The Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 Contemporary lens offers similar performance to the Sports lens in a more compact and lightweight design with a filter size of 95mm.

The 1.4x teleconverter, which supports autofocus up to f8, is itself dust- and splash-proof.

Sigma Global Vision lenses can be updated and customized with a laptop using Sigma Optimization Pro software and Sigma USB Dock

The 150-600mm f5-6.3 Sports lens is renowned for its superior optics and durability in fast-paced, high-action photo scenarios. The Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 Contemporary lens is a versatile lens that offers similar performance in a more compact and lightweight design. Performance capabilities common to both telephoto lenses include advanced two-mode optical stabilization, enhanced autofocus algorithm, sophisticated Hyper Sonic Motor for quiet and fast focusing, along with zoom locking at all marked focal lengths and performance.

The compatible Sigma TC-1401 1.4x Teleconverter, which is also dust- and splash-proof, preserves Sigma lens DNA, ensuring optimum performance with every shot. Supporting autofocus up to f8, the 1.4x Teleconverter incorporates an SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element that maintains the exceptional image quality of the Sigma telephoto lenses with excellent aberration correction.

Sigma Global Vision lenses can be updated and customized with a laptop using Sigma Optimization Pro software and Sigma USB Dock (sold separately). The USB Dock and Sigma Optimization Pro recognize the lenses and the lens plus teleconverter as distinct customizable items. Every Global Vision lens and teleconverter is "A1" tested, analyzed and approved before leaving the factory, ensuring maximum performance out of the box.
