Phase One has released Media Pro SE or Second Edition, an update to the venerable asset management software created by iView Multimedia and put into an induced coma by Microsoft before being resuscitated by Phase One.

NEW FEATURES

The new release, which has been in beta since January, is available for both Mac OS X and Windows and supports adjustments from Capture One 9. The seat license has also been increase to three from two activations.

"Media Pro is a much loved application with special workflow solutions and it enjoys a large and active customer base," said James Johnson, Phase One software product manager. "This release incorporates the most recent feedback from those customers."

Also available is Media Pro Reader, a free application to read media Pro catalogs so they can be shared them with clients.

SYSTEM RECOMMENDATIONS

System recommendations for Media Pro SE include:

General:

  • 2-GB RAM
  • 10-GB free hard disk space
  • An Internet connection to activate Media Pro

Windows:

  • Intel Pentium 4 or better
  • Windows 7 SP1 (64bit), Windows 8 (64bit), Windows 10 (64bit)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0 (will be installed if not present)

Macintosh:

  • Intel-based Mac
  • OS X 10.9.5 or 10.10.5, 10.11

Media Pro SE may run on other and older equipment as well, the company said.

PRICE, AVAILABILITY

Media Pro SE can be downloaded from Phase One or Phase One authorized partners for $189 or €189. Owners of Media Pro 1 may upgrade for $39 or €39.
