In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at a contest to benefit Kids of Kathmadu, six iphone camera accessories, a Lightroom mobile Raw editing test and the Magnum Photography Awards.

  • To benefit Kids of Kathmandu, Feature Shoot is holding a competition open to all photographers on the theme of Childhood Everyday. "Jurors Feature Shoot Editor-in-Chief Alison Zavos and Jami Saunders, co-founder and president of Kids of Kathmandu, will select 23 images for the Kids of Kathmandu gala and photography auction this October, with the proceeds going to build schools in areas affected by last year's earthquake.
  • Lisa Jo Rudy found Six Life-Changing iPhone Camera Accessories: a macro lens, a tripod, an underwater housing, a protective case, a remote shutter release and a battery charger.
  • Derrick Story says Lightroom Mobile 2.4 Is Wildly Impressive after taking a few Raw shots with his Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II, uploading them to his iPad mini 2 using the Apple Lightning Card Reader and opening them in Lightroom mobile.
  • Magnum Photos and LensCulture have bestowed the Magnum Photography Awards 2016 on 44 photographers among entries received from 127 countries.

More to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
