In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Robin Williams, the Leica X-U in Tahiti, another Getty lawsuit and the New Yorker's Instagram account.
- In On and Off Stage With Robin Williams, John Leland interviews Arthur Grace about his 30-year friendship with the comedian. Accompanying the store are 14 images from Grace's book Robin Williams: A Singular Portrait, 1986-2002. "There are certain people who have a face that the camera loves," Grace says. And not just the camera.
- We've decided to spend our vacation in Paradise in Tahiti With the Leica X-U. Australian-based photographer Trent Mitchell took Leica's first underwater camera to a swimwear photo shoot there and posted a few shots on the Leica blog. OK, back to work.
- Cyrus Farivar reports Getty Images has been sued again, this time over Zuma Press 47,000 images.
- The New Yorker has posted 13 cartoons on its Instagram account. Talk about socially redeeming value.
