In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Giuseppe Nucci, Kost's 'Getting Started Series' for Lightroom, Affinity Photo and Moose Peterson at Pearl Harbor.

  • In Documenting Rural Italy's Vanishing Traditions, Ania Bartkowiak interviews Giuseppe Nucci about his DEntroTerra project to documenting the traditional way of life in villages in the Alto Molise and Alto Sangro regions of Molise and Abruzzo.
  • Julieanne Kost has created a Lightroom Mobile 2.6 for iOS 'Getting Started Series' "that covers everything from capture to sharing and everything in between." It's a series of 15 short videos (two still to come).
  • Affinity Photo is now available for Windows at $39.99, a $10 price reduction available to Mac users too. The Mac version includes support for the Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro.
  • Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. In Dec 7th, 'a date which will live in infamy' Moose Peterson tell how in March he "traveled to Pearl Harbor to fly the routes of that morning."

More to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
