In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at the Leica M10, portraits of shooting victims, 60-second Lightroom tips and a SnapBridge test.
- In The New Leica M10 Is Here!, Steve Huff reviews his new favorite Leica with sample images. There's more at the Leica Camera blog, too. And, if you're at the newstand, the fifth issue of M Magazine is now out with historic photographs by Ernesto Bazan, captivating reportage work by Peter Bauza and José Colón, work by Fred Mortagne and Giovanni del Brenna and insights into the life of Russian children in a summer camp by Claudine Doury.
- PowerHouse Books has published Shot by Kathy Shorr with a foreword by Max Kozloff and an afterword by Dr. Tanya L. Zakrison. It portrays 101 survivors, aged 8 to 80, from all races and many ethnicities, each a representative of "survivorhood." Most were photographed in the location where they were shot.
- Catch up on these recent Sixty Second Lightroom Tips with Benjamin Warde:
- In Attempting SnapBridge Professionally, Thom Hogan gives it the old college try, which is more than he can say about Nikon's effort, concluding that "SnapBridge isn't ready for prime time yet."
More to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
