TIPA Honors WhiteWall As Best Photo Lab

The Technical Image Press Association has selected the German photo lab WhiteWall as the Best Photo Lab Worldwide for 2017. This marks the second time WhiteWall has won the prestigious award, judged by 29 photography magazines from around the world.
WhiteWall received the award for its revolutionary technology for creating ultraHD prints which provide twice the resolution of conventionally processed prints.
The citation by the jury follows:
WhiteWall's ultraHD prints reveal all the crisp details of digital files delivered by today's high-resolution cameras. Printed on high-end Fuji Crystal DP II paper, the lab utilizes a new process that keeps the paper perfectly flat during exposure, thus ensures edge-to-edge sharpness and detail. Exposure, development and the drying processes have also been enhanced, with image optimization software that coordinates and takes full advantage of every phase of print creation. Even at close viewing distance, ultraHD prints display increased dynamic range and maximum density, with vivid color and clear tonal gradation. Due to the precise controls applied, photographers can count on matching prints on repeat orders.
UltraHD photo prints are exposed using a solid state laser to acrylic glass, offering better resolution and sharper definition than conventional prints.

International jury honors the German online lab for its ultraHD Photo Prints
BERLIN, Germany and NEW YORK -- Every year, the members of the Technical Image Press Association select the best photo and imaging products from the last 12 months.
