Harvey Posts ExifTool 10.50 Production Release

Phil Harvey has posted ExifTool v10.50, the first production release since v10.40 on Jan.14. The small download is available three formats, including a Windows executable and Macintosh OS X package.
Changes since the last non-production release include:
- Decode a new Pentax tag
- Improved decoding of Olympus DriveMode
- Improved handling of errors from utime when setting file times
- Fixed potential hang problem when reading corrupted QuickTime metadata
- Fixed problem deleting duplicate Exif tags when writing other tags at the same time
In addition to the production releases, Harvey posts regular updates to ExifTool to handle new cameras and newly-decoded tags. His site includes an encyclopedia of Exif Tag Names in addition to extensive documentation and links to other resources.
We rely on the Perl library to write copyright information into the Exif header of our JPEGs and into DNG files. We also use it to read Exif header information.
