In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at photos from Cassini, circular polarizers, Pentax film cameras and a webinar with Roberto Valenzuela.
- Brian Resnick presents The Most Inspiring, Beautiful, and Historic Images From the Cassini Mission. It's worth remembering, Cassini used 20-year-old tech to make these images with its Imaging Science Subsystem.
- Roger Cicala has published My Not Nearly Complete, but Rather Entertaining, Circular Polarizer Filter Article. "If you are buying a circular polarizing filter because you want some circular polarizing, it doesn't seem to matter much which one you choose; they all polarize like gangbusters," he writes.
- Derrick Story's TheFilmCameraShop is offering a weekend special. While supplies last (and there can't be many of these), every Pentax camera/lens combo purchase ships with a free Pentax holster case (a $19 value).
- Rocky Nook will present Master the Art of Storytelling, a free webinar by Roberto Valenzuela, on Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. PDT. If you register for the webinar, you'll get a link to the reply video so you can watch it at your convenience.
