We all remember those stiff, awkward family photos of our youth -- propped up in matching outfits at the local mall or town park. Increasingly, families are seeking an alternate approach to build their photo legacies in a way which more faithfully reflects the richness, character and connection in everyday life. The Documentary Family Awards aims to celebrate this growing trend.

"I think every day about creating images for clients that will stand the test of time and that someday might be discovered by someone's grandchild's grandchild, providing a glimpse into the story and character of their ancestry.
