Miops has announced that its Kickstarter campaign for the Capsule360 has received pledges of $300,000 from over 550 backers in just 10 days.

Having achieved 400 percent of its target, the company announced four more features it will include at launch. Those include:

  • Refined Focus Stacking Options. Combined with the Capsule slider accessory, the Capsule360 will now automatically adjust for a perfect set of images taken at different focus distances for focus-stacked imaging.
  • A Multi-Row Panorama Mode. The Capsule360's Multi- Row Panorama mode will automatically adjust the attached camera accurately for the production of composite images that are "almost unlimited in terms of their ratios, detail and angle of view."
  • Stop Motion Shooting. A stop-motion shooting mode will be built in.
  • SMS (Shoot-Move-Shoot) Capture. Alongside the continuous motion time-lapse mode, Miops will now make available a shoot-move-shoot option on the Capsule360. This will result in much sharper long-exposure motion time-lapses with more dramatic or multi-axis movement.

The campaign runs another 16 days with a few early bird offers still available on the Kickstarter page.

More than 550 backers have pledged over $300,000 toward the Kickstarter campaign for the new app-controlled motion box which will now also boast focus stacking, multi-row panorama shooting, stop-motion and shoot-move-shoot modes.

LONDON -- Phenomenal support has not only seen the Miops Capsule360 motion box smash its aim of $75,000 on day one of its Kickstarter campaign, but more than quadruple it's target with more than two weeks still remaining! Over $313,000 worth of pledges has now been made by more than 550 backers in countries around the world, making it one of the most successfully funded photography products ever launched on the platform!

As already revealed, the Capsule360 has been designed to enable users to quickly produce professional videography effects, such as smooth automated pans, tilts and slides (or any combination of them) in their videos. Motion can also be learned from a manual movement of a smartphone and executed repeatedly by it. Compatible with any SLR, mirrorless or smartphone, the Capsule360 provides accurate subject tracking, making it ideal for self-shooting vloggers looking to up their production values, as well as features for high-quality 360[!]deg; product photography, motion time-lapse and star-tracking.

In response to this unrivalled level of funding and feedback from supporters, Miops is pleased to announce the addition of four more features that will now be touted at launch by the Capsule360. These include:

Refined Focus Stacking Options

Combined with the Capsule slider accessory, the Capsule360 will now automatically adjust for a perfect set of images taken at different focus distances. This will make the production of spectacular focus-stacked images which drip with detail a breeze for users.

A Multi-Row Panorama Mode

Capture that breathtaking view in unrivalled resolution, width and height. The Capsule360's Multi- Row Panorama mode will automatically adjust the attached camera accurately for the production of composite images that are almost unlimited in terms of their ratios, detail and angle of view.

Stop Motion Shooting

From Wallace and Gromit to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Stop-Motion has been behind some of the world's favorite films. An inbuilt shooting mode will now allow Capsule360 users to take the strain out of producing their own masterpieces with this popular filmmaking technique.

SMS (Shoot-Move-Shoot) Capture

Alongside the continuous motion time-lapse mode, Miops will now make available a shoot-move-shoot option on the Capsule360. This will result in long-exposure motion time-lapses with more dramatic or multi-axis movement, being much sharper.

There are still some early bird offers available for the Capsule360, as well as the chance for all pledgers to get their hands on the product before it hits the shelves.
