Nikon has announced the development of a next-generation full-frame mirrorless camera and Nikkor lenses featuring a new mount. An F-Mount adapter to mount existing F-Mount Nikkors is also being developed, the company added.

Earlier this week, Nikon posted the Travel of Light teaser above. "Countless rays of light come together, forming an image at the end of their long journey. Nikon's ongoing mission heading into the future: to guide light into forming superb pictures," the liner notes explained.
