To celebrate Halloween, the teams from Adobe Illustrator and Character Animator bring you Thorne the Troll, a multilayered Illustrator file rigged and ready for animating.

Astute historians of digital imaging will no doubt recognize the uncanny resemblance of Thorne's voice to Photoshop wizard Russell Brown. Others will have to take our word for it.

In her blog post explaining how to make Thorne your alter ego, has a few suggested uses:

Now you can get started creeping out your friends and family. Send them a spooky recording or even broadcast directly to social. Just click the Stream Live button at the bottom of the Scene panel to enable live streaming.

Which could be another excellent reason to get out of WiFi range and knock on neighbors' doors tonight.

But wait, as Brown is fond of saying, there's more.

In Make Your Own Mask, Brian Yap provides a printable skull mask template to personalize in Adobe Illustrator Draw, Adobe Photoshop Sketch, Adobe Illustrator CC or Adobe Photoshop CC (which should cover most of the planet, subscribers or not).

That could come in handy, you know, even if you decide to spend the evening at home.

Happy Halloween! Be safe!
