We've just archived Volume 7 Number 12 of Photo Corners on the Archive page with 18 Features, 16 commented News stories, 25 Editor's Notes (which included 178 items of interest), two reviews and one site note for a total of 62 stories.

READERSHIP numbers were again hit by report outages for seven days this month, rendering them meaningless. We're not sure what's going on or how to prevent it but we've enquired.

Meanwhile we'll just assume the usual records were broken. If we multiply the daily averages by seven and add them to the total, we do get some astonishing figures.

The other casualty of our missing Webalizer reports is our story rankings. We like to point out the most popular pieces we published each month so you don't miss the highlights.

We usually warn you to take our monthly story rankings with a grain of salt because stories published earlier in the month have a lot more exposure than the ones published at the end of the month.

But without our daily reports for seven days this month, you'd have to take the rankings with half a grain of salt. There's no such thing as half a grain, though. Any story that appeared on an unreported day would have been severely handicapped.

So we ended 2018 in the dark.

But the year had its moments. And you can review them, if you're in a contemplative mood, by visiting our 2018 headline page with complete headlines from all the stories we published in 2018. That's a month early.

We usually keep the last two months on the home headline page and don't duplicate headlines on the year headline page but we're duplicating then this time so you can see the year in review.

And you can also review the people we lost last year. Just click on the Remembering... link and then on the year.

Meanwhile we want to express our appreciation for your continued support of Photo Corners. And to wish you a very happy and prosperous 2019!
