B&H Introduces Sales Tax Free Payboo Credit Card Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

7 May 2019

B&H has announced Payboo, a credit card that instantly applies a reward in the amount of the applicable sales tax on B&H purchases.

In announcing the new purchasing option, the company said, "Nearly one year ago, the Supreme Court ruled that out-of-state retailers must collect sales tax on internet sales. This, of course, included B&H.

"For 46 years we have been committed to providing unparalleled customer service and so we began the tedious process of implementing a way to eliminate the impact this ruling would have on our customers."

The solution is a credit card issued through through Synchrony Bank that pays the tax and issues the buyer a reward immediately.

When you pay for B&H purchases with the Payboo credit card, the company charges for the merchandise plus applicable fees and taxes. But B&H instantly issues and applies a reward on orders made in its SuperStore or shipped to eligible states in checkout as a form of customer payment. Then, the amount charged to the Payboo Card is net of the benefit applied.

B&H collects and remits state sales tax in accordance with state sales tax laws and regulations, the company said. So, customers do pay required sales tax and do not need to keep track or file anything separately.

B&H has posted a page of Frequently Asked Questions with a link to the application form.
