In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Disneyland, Chandler Bondurant, Joe McNally, Brian Matiash, Jolie Ruben and AI imaging news.
- In Opening Day at Disneyland, Alan Taylor presents 25 photos from July 1955 when the new 160-acre theme park opened its gates.
- Brooklyn-based photographer Chandler Bondurant captures Mexico, Where Landscapes Burst With Heat, Color and Emotion. "The driving force behind the photos was simple," he tells Stephanie Wade. "I wanted to portray Mexico in a very non-subjective way and tried hard to create compositions that were unique and emotional."
- Joe McNally is Working One Room, Two Athletes for a new Nikon series called Performers:
- Brian Matiash suggests Using Juxtaposition in Your Photos. "One of my favorite examples of this, especially with my landscape photography, is to pit natural pathways against man-made ones," he writes.
- New York Times photo editor Jolie Ruben discusses Who I've Hired with David Walker. How does she find people? "I'm usually combing Instagram and finding photographers who follow other photographers I work with," she says. "Or they're finding me and sending me messages."
- Hans Hartman provides an AI Imaging News Roundup of news from just the last two weeks. Which is plenty.
