Adobe Launches Inspiration Engine on Alexa Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

21 October 2019

In a blog post today, Adobe announced the launch of Adobe Inspiration Engine, a free Amazon Alexa Skill to rescue people from their creative ruts. "It's the ultimate source of on-demand inspiration and accessible through your Amazon Echo, Echo Show, Fire TV Stick or the Amazon Alexa app," the company said.

After installation, you say, "Hey Alexa, open the Adobe Inspiration Engine" and the smart speaker can provide:

  • Quick Insight: A quote or insightful sentence from creative minds like Jessica Walsh and Pascal Campion
  • Exercises: Exercises described by influencers like Elise Swopes to use your senses and environment to explore your project
  • My Creative Type: Better understand your "personal brand of creativity" as a Thinker, Visionary or Dreamer
  • Visual Inspiration: A Behance slide show presented on an Alexa-compatible screen device like the Alexa Echo Show or Firestick

Adobe surveyed 1,200 U.S. consumers finding that "everyday people" (71 percent) consider themselves creative but 89 percent "consistently struggle" to find inspiration. "The Adobe Inspiration Engine was built to combat this, whether you're a creative professional, writer or anyone just looking for a jolt of inspiration," the company said.
