Photoshop Sneak Peek: Object Selection Tool Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

Adobe has released a video sneak peek of Photoshop's upcoming new Object Selection Tool. Product manager Meredith Stotzner demos the intelligent, Adobe Sensei-powered feature that adds your direction to the technology behind Select Subject.

The Select Subject command in the currently shipping version of Photoshop automatically selects the most prominent subject in an image with a single click. But what if that isn't the object you want to select?

The Object Selection tool lets you show Photoshop what you're after by dragging a marquee around it or using a freehand Lasso selection. And you can add to or remove objects from that selection just as you modify mask areas.

The new tool appears at the top of the Magic Wand tool group as well as in the menu system. And, we suspect, will become the default way of tapping into Photoshop's Select Subject technology.
