In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Jen Ervin, the Snite Museum of Art, Hahnemuehle Natural Line paper, Ming Thein and Sandmarc hybrid filters.
- Ellyn Kail presents a few Enchanting Photos From a Cabin in the Woods by Jen Ervin from her book The Arc. She had her family have owned a cabin in the woods of South Carolina for generations where vintage photographs of mysterious origin are mixed with her Polaroids of the last six years.
- In A History of Photography at the University of Notre Dame, Sarah Gilbert selects a few of the 100 important works features in A History of Photography. The university's Snite Museum of Art holds over 10,000 pieces of 19th, 20th and 21st century photography.
- Mark Segal reviews Hahnemuehle Natural Line Paper, which includes three papers: Bamboo, Agave and Hemp.
- Ming Thein has published the third part of his 20 Stories feature.
- Jason Row reviews the Sandmarc Hybrid Filters for the iPhone, which combine a neutral density filter with a polarizer. "Overall the Hybrid Filters are a useful tool for both iPhone photographers and videographers," he concludes.
