Canon Announces TR150 Compact Printer

Canon has announced its PIXMA TR150 wireless printer which, with the optional battery pack, provides a portable color printing solution.

Powered by USB charging or the optional battery, the TR150 weighs 4.5 pounds. Its 12.7 x 7.3 x 2.6-inch shell features a 1.44-inch OLED display to help you install, set-up and connect the printer to compatible mobile devices. The screen also reports problems like paper outages and low ink.
Wireless connectivity is provided via built-in 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi. Compatible mobile devices can use the Canon Print app for easy setup and basic operations, including access to PIXMA Cloud Link to print documents from social platforms and services like Box, Facebook, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Photos, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
The new printer uses two black inks: a pigment-based black ink for sharp text and a dye-based black ink that improves color contrast and image stabilization when printing photographs.
Print speeds are up to 9.0 ipm for black and 5.5 ipm for color, regardless of power source.

Canon said the TR150 would be available "in late March" for $199.99 with the optional battery for $99.99. Ink cartridge prices are not yet available. Adorama and B&H are both now accepting pre-orders.
