In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Joe Pugliese, Pietro Motisi, Peter Cox, Julieanne Kost and Network Traffic. Or, looked at another way, social distancing portraits, Sicilian ghosts, the Skelligs, Death Valley and Comcast.
- Heidi Volpe talks to Joe Pugliese about his monochrome Social Distancing Portraits. "I don't think I got closer than 20ft to anyone that I photographed," he says. "I strongly believe in strict quarantine measures to quell this problem so I didn't want to exacerbate the situation in any way."
- Stephanie Wade showcases Pietro Motisi's Poignant Photo Essay of Sicily and Its Landscapes. "The pensive series focuses on place as a concept, where landscapes are mostly devoid of human presence to offer a moment of contemplation for the viewer," she writes.
- Peter Cox writes about The Skelligs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's also the subject of the latest photobook he's kickstarting.
- Julieanne Kost walks through her Lightroom Mobile Workflow for some Death Valley shots.
- In Comcast Details What the Coronavirus Has Done to Network Traffic, Dean Takahasi reports the company's "Internet traffic has risen 32% because of the coronavirus." Don't worry, they can handle it.
