We've just archived Volume 9, Number 5 of Photo Corners on the Archive page with 22 Features, 24 commented News stories, 26 Editor's Notes (which included 174 items of interest), one review and four site notes for a total of 77 stories.

We published 134 images in 32 of those stories and three stories with gear specifications. We also published two obituaries in May.

READERSHIP numbers are never complete when we check them for this piece each month but even missing a day, we can see almost all of our numbers increased. These are the highest totals we've since last October when we had to block Google from indexing the site as aggressively as it wanted.

We're particularly happy to see the popularity of our slide shows.

OUR TOP STORIES included the usual suspects with good social media distribution but a few that were not wind assisted as well.

Those included three Around The Horn pieces, our photo Escape, the matinee on Madame D'Ora and several slide shows.

We're particularly happy to see the popularity of our slide shows. Originally they were conceived as entertainment for elderly shut-ins. But these days, who isn't a shut-in?

WE PUBLISHED AN UNUSUAL NUMBER of Site Notes this month. Apart from adding a look back one year and, once a week, five years to our Around The Horn column, the big news was our new Glossary.

In compiling our own glossary, we sampled a lot of online photographic glossaries. We found a lot of problems, frankly. None of them covered cameras, printers, scanning and editing either. So we took on the challenge.

As we continue to develop ours beyond the 143 current topics, we think it's the most informative and comprehensive online glossary of photographic terms. And its continually improving with new entries, the latest added just last week.

We've always believed it's a good idea to know what you're talking about.
