Summer Savings: Nikon, Olympus, Sony, More Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

1 June 2020

Summer may not begin until June 20 but Nikon, Olympus and Sony have already announced summer discounts. Our affiliates Adorama and B&H are both honoring the discounts.

In addition to listing the manufacturers' deals below, we'll include links to Adorama and B&H so you can browse any additional discounts they make available.

NIKON

Nikon is offering discounts on its D750, D500, D780, Z 6 bodies and assorted Nikkor lenses plus D780, Z 50 and Z 6 kits at Adorama through June 28:

OLYMPUS

Olympus is offering a free OM-D body (M1 II, M1X or M1 III) when you buy three select M.Zuiko digital lenses: the $1,400 7-14mm, $1,500 40-159mm and the $2,900 300mm ($5,800 to save up to $3,000).

You can redeem the offer at your getolympus.com or your preferred retailer.

SONY

In addition to the Nikon and Olympus discounts, B&H lists discounts on the Sony a7 III and a7R IV, Fujifilm X-T3 and X-E cameras and Sigma lenses on its Summer Savings page:

DISCOUNT SEASON

With camera companies hit hard by the pandemic, which has closed retail outlets, discounts may be the summer sport to watch. Earlier in May, Thom Hogan wrote:

If you're curious, here basically is Sony's current prediction: the spread of the virus peaks in June and restrictions on people and retailers will begin to be eased in the July to September quarter. Thus, Sony expects that business operations will return to something near normal come the holiday season.

But he followed that up at the end of the month by noting:

Frankly, anyone who believes they can reliably forecast the next six months needs to be sainted. Or committed.
